The VA Has Issues of Room and Board at the Assisted Living Facility.

Some VA Adjudicators mistakenly deny the room and board
portions of the Assisted Living Facility bill under the pretense they are not medical
expenses.  This is not true because federal regulations allow room and
board to be counted as qualifying medical expenses if the physician determines
that the claimant is either housebound or needs Aid and Attendance.
