The Steven Stoyke Caregiver Award

Steven Stoyke is the first recipient of the Steven Stoyke Caregiver Award from the Elder Law Office of David Wingate. Steve was an exceptional caregiver for his wife, who has just recently passed. I’m really honored to know Steve. His dedication to his wife and seniors in general, is greatly admired by our office.

I would like to nominate Frances Morgan for “The Steven Stoyke Caregiver Award”.
    I have known
Frances since I started to work at a local nursing home in 1993, At the time she was a CNA/GNA.I was able to observe Frances as she interacted with the residents and families. Not only did she provide physical care, she gave that little extra to address emotional and mental needs of those she cared for. Her residents were not just “patients” t0 her, but people who had lives and families before coming to the nursing home.

Frances treated them with the dignity and respect they deserved.
Frances has worked Private Duty, maintaining the same level of care and devotion .She goes that “extra mile” to satisfy their needs and those of the families involved.

I have seen her further her knowledge by becoming a Medicine Aide and Mental Health Aide, working in environments that requires a special person to handle it well.

She carries these values into her private life, where she has shown this loving care for others. Her life has not been and easy one, yet she reaches out to others to help ease their way. Three times she has participated in fundraising and the Half Marathon in TN, for St Jude’s Kids.

Frances is a giving , caring conscientious individual, who deserves recognition and credit for her efforts to care for others.
