Businesses soliciting ALF for Veteran’s Applications

Any professional or business that is soliciting Assisting Living Facilities, Nursing Homes or Veterans, themselves, for payment to prepare VA applications is in violation of Federal law.  Additionally, any facilities and other businesses, i.e. home care agencies that are paid for their services from VA benefit money are considered an interested third party. Therefore, they cannot charge a fee or pay a fee.

Also, any professional who is not accredited through the OGC cannot assist with a VA application.
